Why can’t Aiwit doorbell connect to wifi?

There are several reasons why your Aiwit doorbell may not be able to connect to your WiFi. The most common causes are weak WiFi signal, incorrect password, and hardware failure.

Wifi signal problem:

Poor wifi signal can lead to wrong password and no wifi connection.

Since the Aiwit doorbell is usually installed at the door, it may be far away from the router and obstructed, resulting in the Aiwit doorbell not receiving WiFi signals well.

Aiwit doorbell is connected to 5Ghz wifi:

Aiwit doorbell only supports 2.4Ghz wifi, make sure Aiwit doorbell connects to 2.4Ghz wifi.
If your wifi 2.4G and 5G are combined, then there is no need to check this issue, the router will automatically assign 2.4G wifi.

Hardware failure:

Aiwit doorbell wifi module failure,If you encounter this issue, it is recommended to contact your Aiwit doorbell seller for assistance.

Fix Aiwit doorbell can not connect to wifi

If you are experiencing difficulties connecting your Aiwit video doorbell to the WiFi network, don’t worry, we recommend reviewing the following guide and following the provided steps to try and fix it.

1. To ensure proper operation of your Aiwit doorbell, we recommend following these steps to confirm the power status of your Aiwit doorbell:

  • Press the doorbell button: If the Aiwit doorbell’s indicator light flashes, this indicates that the doorbell is turned on.
  • If there is no indicator light: Please connect the power supply to charge the Aiwit doorbell.

2. In order to connect Aiwit doorbell smoothly, please follow the guide below:

  • Reset the Aiwit doorbell
  • Connect the Aiwit doorbell near the router
  • Make sure the wifi is 2.4Ghz and the wifi password is correct.
  • As long as the Aiwit doorbell hardware is working, then you will be able to connect to the wifi.

If you still can’t connect to Aiwit doorbell, it is recommended to recheck the above issues, and reconnect.
If the connection fails more than 3 times, then there is a high probability that the Aiwit doorbell is malfunctioning, please contact your Aiwit doorbell seller.

3. Other ways to fix it?
If you follow the above guide and can’t fix it, you need to check if your wifi has restrictions such as mac whitelisting, router problems. But I don’t recommend it, router problem is less probable and requires an expert.

I suggest you just replace Aiwit doorbell, or buy another brand of doorbell.

Why is my Aiwit doorbell offline?

Aiwit doorbell is usually offline for several reasons

  1. Battery problems, dead batteries or battery failure.
  2. wifi problem, may be the wifi signal is bad to cause offline, suggest to strengthen your wifi signal, or try to restart the router
  3. Aiwit doorbell wifi module failure, we suggest contacting your camera seller

Why am I not receiving Aiwit doorbell notifications on my phone?

If your phone does not receive notifications from the Aiwit doorbell, this is usually due to a software problem. To resolve this issue, we recommend that you follow these instructions:

  1. Upgrade the Aiwit application to the latest version.
  2. Make sure that the Aiwit doorbell is online.
  3. Turn on notification permissions for the Aiwit app. If you are using an Android phone, set it to priority notifications in the settings.
  4. Make sure that the Aiwit doorbell and your phone are connected to the Internet properly.

If these steps do not solve the problem, it may be an Aiwit APP issue or a phone bug, please contact your Aiwit doorbell seller.

Sometimes I can receive notifications and sometimes I can’t?
Usually it is a network problem, please make sure Aiwit Doorbell and your phone have a strong internet connection.

Why doesn’t Aiwit chime receive ringtone notification?

If your Aiwit chime is not receiving bell notifications, it may be due to the following reasons.

  1. Please check the power status of the Aiwit chime: If the Aiwit chime is turned on, it should be able to produce a bell sound when the ‘tune’ button is pressed.
  2. Reconnect the chime to the Aiwit doorbell.

If these steps do not work to make the Aiwit chime function properly, it may be due to hardware failure in the Aiwit chime. In this case, it is recommended to contact the Aiwit chime seller for assistance.

How do I know if my Aiwit doorbell is charging?

    Recently acquired a V5 Camera Doorbell today, for the first 30 minutes after installation the recordings were automatically fine, picked up motion in a microsecond and started recording immediately.

    However, after that 30 minutes we jumped into the next 5 hours, where the doorbell would take way to long after picking up motion to actually start recording. Most of the time, the other people in my apartment building corridor had already reached their doors and started to close them/or past my own before the Camera has the smarts to record any of the actual motion.

    How come I have to purchase cloud storage when I have no videos saved. I have had my doorbell for a year or so now and as of yesterday it says I can’t view my videos without purchasing cloud storage. I have nothing saved for videos. I delete the days worth before I go to bed. Please help me if I am doing something wrong.

    This camera is crap. 3 min total record time and it records when you go to live view. Free lifetime cloud access to what? There is no cloud without paid subscription and even then it’s still garbage. I hooked it to old doorbell and doorbell doesn’t ring now, plus the app has to be open for it to tell me someone is at the door. That is if I am within 30 feet or so from the device. Do not let these people rip u off, I’ m returning mine asap. Online reviews are totally made up when they rate it as excellent, just intelligent product pushing for u to replace a perfectly good doorbell with a piece of crap.

    Had purchased two Aiwit camera.

    Camera A
    – Purchased cloud storage to view recording on 30 Sept. Works fine.

    Camera B
    – Purchased cloud storage on 29 October.

    Now the issue comes. Camera A doesn’t allow me to view recording after the purchase of Cloud storage for Camera B.

    Anyone has any idea how to resolve the issue?

    Just to let everyone know if you’ve brought a camera that uses the aiwit app and you thought it was a bargain like me!? then your going to get the same suprise as the rest of us and have to eventually pay for a subscription to see what’s going on at the door, I wouldn’t mind but when someone approaches the door it doesn’t actually let you know until they have gone 🤦 unless they stay for a minute that is, save your money and get a higher end camera if it’s true security you want.         Agree! Aiwit is basically a rip-off. Mines worked at the beginning; now it stays off line. When I re-installed the app and tried setup the device it says registration failed. I’ve tried many suggestions from the Chat but nothing works. Never, Never will I ever buy a Aiwit product again.

    I’ve done everything to get this video doorbell to stay online, reset, check wifi connections ,fully charged. Nothing has worked. It will stay on line for about 5 mins. I had my internet and wifi upgraded, router. Still this problem persists, I have wyze and blubucks wired cameras and they stay online just fine. So what is the best way to get it online. Getting to the point of trashing it. Going back and giving a zero rating. I’ve been at this for a while now.

    Can the door bell be bypassed by anyone?
    We have a lodger and since he found out we had this device and that we get notified of their visitors when we’re not home, it somehow stopped notifying us of theirs but not ours!! Is it possible that the device can be tampered with in any way to allow this?

      As I understand it, if you have e a wireless camera, there is a bypass … by using a wireless jammer you are essentially deactivating the camera. Guess you need to look around the property. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the camera in a different location to see if it is operational. If so, then you have your answer.

    Battery usage is determined by “Zone”. Increasing the zone will make the camera work harder to find movement.
    “Humanoid detection” is to filter out false alarms, so that movement that doesn’t look like a person will be ignored. It does not affect battery life.

      Hi Tony, if you go on the amazon site and look in description of doorbell it says a lifetime free recording, copy this and send a message in the app for doorbell asking why your being charged to see recordings when it said you’d have a lifetime free viewing and they’ll change so no charge

          Open app and on the right hand side there should be a green speech bubble, click on that and send message… I sent this:

            I purchased 3 doorbells and also some solar cameras. NOW it wants charge me $29.99 for each additional camera?? With? Lifetime is forever free. WHAT scam!! It didn’t make me pay for #1 and I need 3. 3 doorways . Because ones I bought 4 solar cameras for driveway, side yard and back yard. That’s a ridiculous cost for EACH CAMERA.. it should state cost instead of saying free Lifetime cloud.

        Hey , I’m having the same problems and no help from them , what I did find out is that I could send the videos inside of the chat & therefore am able to view them & also get on their nerves until they find me a solution .

    My aiwit doorbell camera doesn’t record. I get notifications that someone’s by my house but when i go to look at the notification it brings me to the video recordings and then says no videos for the day.

      Mine is not connecting either. the manual is not helpful at all, its more like a cheat sheet. it is vague and unclear how to connect chime to video doorbell. only 2 youtube videos i found and it was pointless.

      does anybody assist here? or is it talk to the wall sitch? lol well, hopefully somebody can assist.

      Is there a visual or a sound to look out for? or is it defected? do you guys create tutorials?

      I had the same problem – you need to get a micro SD for it. If you do have you, you do have to replace them periodically

        We had both our phones paired ,my husbands phone lost contact ,whilst trying to get his phone back on line I transferred my owner to his phone ,we are unable to retrieve my owner. We have tried to delete the app and start again but that’s not working it just picks up our previous settings can you advise please
